Are Unlocked mobile phones of no use?

There are two types of mobile phones: locked mobile phones and unlocked mobile phones. A locked phone only recognizes a SIM card of a specific carrier while an unlocked mobile phone recognizes any SIM card providing mobile phone services.
Locked mobile phone can only be used with a single service provider with a specified SIM card that provides the mobile phone service and it is locked to that. On the other hand the unlocked mobiles are based on different concept. An Unlocked mobile phone can be used with different sim and service providers as well. One can think about the benefits or drawbacks of such phones.
Unlocked mobile phones are more useable as comparitive to others. Hence one can't say that unlocked mobile phones of no use. Many people think that locked mobile phones are more reliable as they are specificly faciliated by only one service provider. While on the other hand people who are against this concept say that unlocked mobile phones have more benefits as you can switch to any service provider any time. Up to you now what option you go for.

Nice blog about what is mean by locked and unlocked phone , advantages of unlocked phone and so on .After reading your blog i easily understand the needs of unlocked phone so i got my older Nokia mobile unlocked from network provider through online providers like Unlock-Free.com here they are generating network unlock code for some older mobile models at free of cost ...Now i can freely use my nokia phone with any GSM sim ...
